Heat up that wire

25mm base on left, 20mm base on right
Something made it out to the snow... Here's the companion piece to yesterday's abomination. Nasty little crab beast... Looks a little familiar.

  2. Very cool, I was hoping they would do something like this. Nice work on them both.

    1. Cheers Ace! They were an interesting diversion. I was planning to use them alomngside my other disgusting fleshtone monsters (Burrowers, imps etc) but when doing the basing I caved in and began a polar theme. I just realized this means a lot of terrain I'm going to have to build...

  4. Now THAT's what I'd call a "head crab" ;)

    ("head spider" maybe?)

  5. Have I missed a joke about 'familiar' and 'A familiar'? Ah well, I never was that bright, but I do know good painting when I see it.

  6. That (and a comment about snow effect by Hakomike) made me remember my take on that thing about 5 years ago... I made the eyes pop out the nose instead of the throat. Aahh memories...

Surprisingly we both came up with almost the same basing (http://lazyminis.blogspot.com.es/2008/05/warp.html)

I'd love to see small blood blobs, the nasty dog thing from the begining of the film and some polar expedition guys in 15mm to round up your collection.
