Exterminator Auxiliary Troops

Officers and support weapons!
Tonight we have a fresh pack of yet-to-be released additions to Khurasan's Exterminator range! There is a bazooka/laser depending on your interpretation, a mortar, a loader or spotter, a female officer or perhaps technician, and a Lieutenant who may or may not have been on dozens of simulated missions...

Great sculpts! I will be taking some better photos with the rest of the exterminators when I get some daylight. I used the same colors as the other squad members, VMC US army dark green and Russian uniform.

Special thanks to the amazing Jon at Khurasan for allowing me to blog post these before the internet jackals beat me to it. Thanks Jon!

  1. These are very nice, I like the all green paint jobs too.

I might actually go back and finish up the exterminators I have with the same scheme... Another winner here!

    1. Thanks Mr. Harold! They actually came out a bit flat in the photo.. I may go and do another lighter highlight on the armor...

  2. Those look great! I really need to get some mortars. My regular opponent always destroys me with his.

    1. Thanks EP! Mortars don't usually feature in my (largely theoretical) skirmishes... They seem more like off table support. Might make a good objective though!

  3. Very Nice. The puppets of Weyland Corp. look grand.

    1. Cheers LA! It says a lot about the quality of these minis that they still look like WY characters even though I painted them in totally non-canon colors :)

Ooh aah. I especially like the two in the middle, they remind me a little of Heresy's 28mm sci-fi "inspectors" figures. Overall they don't seem very "survivable" in a xenomorph environment, but then again, who is?

  5. Looking really good there, really like the two middle models, very good military officer types/technician types.

    1. Thanks Ace, I think they would make great S.W.A.T officers too.

    1. Thanks Brummie! These figures are my favorite "humans in open helmets" range.

  7. Brilliant paintups as usual! The second man from the left is actually part of the mortar team, but I reckon there's no reason you can't use him on his own....

    1. Thanks again Jon! I based him so I could have him in base contact with either weapon. Or maybe just waving to somebody. Or setting up a picnic.. That ammo crate could easily be a cooler...

  8. Nice, looking very good. I like all the details you picked out. Such as the cabling on the bazooka and the scanner of the technician.
    Great colour scheme!

    1. Cheers Wouter! All minis need focal points IMO, a little splash of color in an otherwise samey scheme makes a huge difference.

  9. Okay, that's done it for me, I'm in the queue as soon as they are available. Are you getting a commission for making these look (as if they weren't already) eminently purchaseable....er, not sure if that's a word. As usual, top performance with the brush trickery!

    1. Good to hear GR! I get them before they go on sale (Score!) and Jon often packs in some extra goodies as well, because he's awesome.
My speed at completing minis varies so wildly that I wouldn't feel right doing real commission work.

  10. I bought the heavy weapons team but found that they are noticeably smaller than the main troopers. How do these guys compare in size?

    1. I hadn't noticed that myself. These are a little slimmer in build but not problematically so. I will post a big group shot soon, as Jon and Ganesha Games have asked me for some photos.
