Small Scale Terrain

I have a huge bunch of stuff to paint for Khurasan and difficult circumstances at home, but in between all this I put my efforts into small bits of scenery to enhance my games.

First off, here are some zombies coming out of body bags from TheScene! I am using these as Zombie spawn points or destruction objective markers.
I didn't want to paint them black, as I have so many dark models and scenery pieces, so I went with gunship green and gave them a very harsh highlight pass to try to make them look shiny.
The hatch is from GZG and is basically an objective, but could be used in countless ways.

Here are some GZG doors mounted on plastic card bases, with cork tile backing. They have been built to place up against a flat wall, or on the board edge to represent an entry point. They will be useful as objectives themselves, or to make a building out of any other solid mass scenery.

Thanks for looking!

  1. Those look great. I have those body bag zombies too.

You gave me a great idea, I have plastic corridors from DreamScape that I have used as spaceship interior, but I'm going to take your hatch idea, and make them a '2nd' board underground research base! And i'm going to steal your color scheme from the body bags too :) I also didn't want to paint them black!

  2. Nice work, Jacker. Lots of potential here for scenarios: maybe, elevator doors open with Zeds crawling out..."ah oh...there is no way to escape now!"

  9. Those are great. I didn't know someone made those. and I love the doors. Consider it stolen for my sci fi tiles project.

And man with the Khurusan furniture you did, and now those consoles and what looks like a situation map, those are awesome! Great paint work on those too.

With Khurusan down right now, I hope I can catch some glimpses of whats coming up.

    1. Thanks LA. Sadly, I can usually not show new Khurasan stuff until it is actually released.. Which is tough on the blog because it often means I can't post as often as I paint.

I think I will paint a map display on the desk-thing now that you mention it... Nice idea!
