Spacejacker tattoo

I don't normally blog about life stuff here, but I'm so pleased with my latest tattoo that I thought it deserved a mention.

The artist is the tremendously talented James Woodford from Into You Tattoo in Brighton, UK.

It measures about 6" high, took less than 3 hours yesterday and was no more or less painful than my others (I have a 3/4 sleeve on both arms). It is the first bit of realistically shaded ink I have- My right arm is 8-bit art and my left is traditional Japanese... And I love it!

It's only a day old but is healing really well. I'm used to having an arm wrapped in plastic while I try to work.

    1. Thanks Tamsin, the shading will become more apparent as it heals, but I'm pretty impressed with how it looks on day 2 :)

  2. Nice design. I've carrying around 14 pics. In the early '60s, while overseas in the Army, the local kids, when I was floating around in a public swimming-hole, said I looked like the "Sunday Funnies!" So, Jacker, I guess this makes us Tat-Mates! Greetings!

  4. Incredibly cool, absolutely love the great design and the shading is pretty amazing, even moreso considering it's a tattoo! I'll have to live inking adventures vicariously through you guys since I am needlephobic.

I've been so used to your GAAARRRNNNN!!! profile pic when you said, "Spacejacker tattoo" I half expected to see that. You know, cropped down, this would make an /even better/ profile pic, hint hint.

  8. Cool! If it's not actually intended to be an homage to the Doctor Who episode "Silence in the Library", it sure reminds me of it...

    1. Sorry to disappoint, but It's not a Doctor Who homage. If anything it's a Starscream (awesome band, not the transformer) homage of sorts..
